Check condition and warranty
New, open-box, refurbished and used listings carry different value and warranty expectations. A comparison must use equivalent condition.
Look beyond the star average
Review count, recent complaints, seller history and return experiences matter more than a high rating without context.
Factor return and counterfeit risk
Restricted returns, international shipping, missing manufacturer warranty and product-authenticity uncertainty deserve a scoring penalty.
