PRICE MEMORY · CONTRACT FIXTURES

A price is a moment. A deal needs a history.

SKUba Dive now has the observation model needed to remember store-specific prices, preserve evidence and decide whether a drop is truly unusual.

The observation contract

Every incoming record must preserve enough context to compare like with like. A price without the exact product, place, time and source cannot safely become a deal alert.

IdentityRetailer ID, UPC/ASIN/TCIN/SKU, model, variant and pack size
PlaceZIP, store ID, fulfillment channel and distance
PriceObserved price, coupon, shipping, membership requirement and effective total
TimeObserved-at timestamp, source freshness and expiration
EvidenceSource type, corroboration count, receipt/tag/link and confidence state
OutcomeAvailable, sold out, checkout-confirmed, corrected or withdrawn

Promotion gate

  1. Normalize the exact product and variant.
  2. Attach store, ZIP or online fulfillment context.
  3. Calculate effective price against realistic recent street price.
  4. Apply freshness, availability and source-confidence penalties.
  5. Publish only when the evidence state is visible and the destination link is valid.
