LOCAL PRICING GUIDE

How regional price gaps create local opportunities

A national product page can hide a local markdown. Store-level comparison matters because clearance timing, assortment and demand differ by location.

Clearance is often store-specific

Stores may move through seasonal or discontinued inventory at different speeds. One location can mark down an item while another keeps the regular price.

Distance changes the value

A lower price forty miles away is not automatically better than a modest discount nearby. Fuel, time, tolls and availability risk reduce the practical savings.

One report does not define a region

A single observed price is evidence for that store and time. A regional pattern requires multiple matching observations.

Compare exact configurations

Retailer-exclusive bundles and local assortments can look identical in search results. Model and pack details must match before calling the difference a price gap.
